The way that we communicate, conduct business, learn and see the world will continue to change at an incredible pace due to ever-advancing media technology such as web pages, animation, smart phones and video games. To keep pace, employers need people who truly grasp the complexities of technology so that they can remain competitive as changes occur. Our Communication Design major develops skills in visual design, web design and interactive media. The program also provides broad-based understanding of current technologies and applications, and merges this knowledge with design, communication and management skills. Communication Design majors develop a customized university experience that is pertinent to their career ambitions and the needs of a global, multicultural society.
You will find the official information about the Communication Design major here in the Catalog.
