If you have an interest in promoting environmental health and sustainability for human and non-human communities in a socially just and equitable manner through education or "green" jobs, then this is the CSUMB major for you!
The concentration in Environmental Education prepares students for work as environmental educators with ecological interpretive centers (e.g. nature centers, aquariums, zoos, museums), outdoor education programs, school programs, businesses, government agencies and environmental organizations. The concentration in Environmental Science for Sustainable Communities prepares students for “green" jobs with government agencies, non-governmental agencies, industry and business.
You will find the official information about the Environmental Studies major right here in the Catalog.
For more detailed information including a look at student work, faculty bios, research partnerships, and internship opportunities, please visit the Environmental Studies major website.
