You officially begin the major with KIN 300: Major Pro-Seminar, where you create and/or revise your Individual Learning Plan (ILP) with faculty guidance.
You must receive a grade of C or better in all courses taken to satisfy Major Learning Outcomes.
MLO 1 Knowledge of KinesiologyDemonstrate an understanding of the fundamental content, principles and issues common in the field of kinesiology, including exercise science, wellness, human development, neurological foundations of learning, movement, nutrition and community health. Required Courses

MLO 2 Research MethodsDemonstrate the ability to use diverse methods of inquiry to analyze a kinesiology related issue. This includes acquiring, evaluating, interpreting, synthesizing, applying, documenting and presenting scientific and social science knowledge. Required Courses

MLO 3 Multicultural CompetencyDemonstrate the ability to deliver kinesiology services by communicating effectively across cultural groups, assessing the needs and capabilities of culturally diverse populations, and engaging in this process with mutual respect and sensitivity. Required Courses

MLO 8 Subject Matter Competency in ConcentrationComplete up to 30 credits within one of the four KIN concentrations (Wellness; Exercise Science; Sport; Outdoor Education & Recreation).
