If you make a list of academic fields that have universal value, Human Development has to be included. Anyone who works with others, raises children, deals with a partner, or wants a better understanding of self should add a minor in Human Development. In other words, everyone can benefit from gaining insight into human development.
Through the Human Development Minor, you will develop understanding of psychological, cognitive, emotional, biological and familial changes across the lifespan. This interdisciplinary minor draws on multiple fields to address issues such as good parenting, juvenile delinquency, optimal aging, behavioral disorders and the like. The minor in Human Development will mark you as someone with scholarly insight into how individuals change and grow over time.
