SBS 335 - Digital Ethnographies This course explores interdisciplinary studies of virtual communities, with a particular emphasis on emerging work by cultural anthropologists. While emphasizing theoretical approaches to understand new social spaces, students participating in this course will learn how to apply ethnographic methodologies to study communities based on new media social networks as well as the visible manifestations of generational divides, creation of new linguistic spaces.
