BIO 196 - Biology Introductory Research Practicum This course engages students in locally-relevant research and introduces them to the research process. Through hands-on lab and/or field work, students develop proficiency in sampling, surveying, and analysis techniques, and gain understanding of the foundations and conventions of biological research. Students will also learn the importance of and explore opportunities for academic and career development in the sciences. This course may require field trips on weekends and dates when classes are not normally in session.
