BUS 309 - Principles of Operations Management Introduces principles of Operations Management. Emphasis is on applied analytical and quantitative skills using spreadsheets for optimal allocation of resources for an organization in a manufacturing or service industry. Major topics are operations strategies, project mgmt., linear programming/optimization, supply chain, facility location/layout, workforce and capacity planning, forecasting, inventory mgmt., enterprise resource planning, quality control, system reliability, and decision tools.
