MATH 270 - Mathematics for Computing
Studies basic linear algebra, continuous and discrete probability, and computing theory emphasizing theoretical and applicable methods. Topics include systems of linear equations, matrices, vectors, vector transformations, determinants, eigenvalues, numerical integration, probability distributions and densities, expected value, functions of random variables, random number generation, automata, and regular expressions. An appropriate programming language such as Python is incorporated as needed.
