SOC 330 - Sociology of Race and Ethnicity Students in this course use sociological theories and concepts to study race and ethnicity. Students examine the sociological construction of race and ethnicity; the development of racial categories and stratification; racial and ethnic identities, and how they intersect with other identities; interactions among racial and ethnic groups; prejudice, discrimination, racism, power, and privilege; and the impact of inequality across various social institutions.
