HCOM 340S - Topics in Social Movements Service Learning Engages topical study of social movements in the service learning environment. Introduces various models of political organizing in movements that have addressed societal inequities from class, race, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation, and other positionalities, and students apply these models to contemporary problems of inequity. The service learning component connects students with community organizations in order to be participant observers in contemporary organizing strategies.
