Music of Mexico explores a variety of musical styles that have emerged from the pre-Hispanic era to the present. From the indigenous influences on music throughout the Americas, to the musical styles brought by European and African immigrants, this course explores the geographic and political contexts reflected in Mexican music as a cultural icon.
