SSCI 345 - Cultural Anthropology Examines the concept of culture as key to an understanding of the diversity and depth of the human experience. Emphasizes the comparative approach as a method to understanding cultural identity and the underpinnings of the relationships of power, equity, and social justice. The connections between informal and formal relations of power are in turn reviewed. Students will recognize and compare diverse approaches to ethical decision making in the context of the understanding of culture.
