STAT 310 - Data Visualization Studies the value of visualization, historical and modern, and evaluation and critique of visualizations in literature and media. Develops methods, procedures, and application tools and software used to summarize and visualize data for both explanatory and exploratory purposes. Requires the creation of visualizations, including information visualizations and scientific visualizations, and the assessment of when and how to best leverage data visualization methods in a variety of contexts.
