ENVS 586 - Climate Change Applications Future environmental scientists will have to consider the effects of climate change on all aspects of their discipline. This course will help students prepare for their careers by familiarizing them with the challenges climate change imposes on the human and natural world, and the frameworks being developed to understand and deal with them. Topics include changes in hydrology (increased floods and droughts), fire severity and post-fire hazards, plant and animal ecology, and water security and quality.
