MPA 208 - Music of the Beatles
This course surveys the career of the Beatles, mainly focusing on the years that they were active as a recording band (1963-1970), but also including events leading up to their formation, as well as an overview of four members’ solo careers. Additionally, the course interprets the role of the Beatles as a groundbreaking multimedia phenomenon, through a close critical reading of their official cinematography and the development of their multimedia company, Apple Corps.
