SPED 561 - Teaching Reading and Language to Students with Disabilities

Covers the required competencies to assist in teaching exceptional students how to read. Students will use direct instruction techniques to teach basic language skills and reading to pupils with disabilities. These interactive small-group instructional skills may be used in a broad range of instructional settings with or without scripted programs. Students will also understand reading curriculum and instruction in order to effectively teach these topics to students with disabilities.
