MSPA 513 - Clinical Medicine III


This is the third of three clinical medicine courses presented during the didactic year. The course includes information on the etiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases and disorders as they related to each body system and developmental stage. Topics will include the endocrine system, psychology, genitourinary disorders, gynecology, reproductive health, genetics, prenatal and obstetrics, pediatrics, geriatrics, chronic disease, multisystem disease, oncology and occupational medicine. This course will offer a combination of formal lectures, clinical reasoning exercises, and small-group case study discussions to develop problem-solving skills. This course will be taught in coordination with the Advanced Clinical Anatomy & Physiology, Clinical Skills and Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacotherapeutics series.
