Dean & Staff

Kris Roney, Ph.D., Dean

Prior to coming to CSUMB, Dr. Roney was the Associate Vice President and Founding Dean of the University College and an Associate Professor of English at the University of North Georgia. At CSUMB, she continues to provide leadership in student support efforts and offices, general education, and high-impact practice academic departments. She completed a bachelor’s degree in English at Norfolk State University and both an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of Georgia, where she studied opera and redemption. In addition to work in student success and wellness, her current disciplinary research is in punk rock and heavy metal.
