Dean & Staff
Edward Jadallah, Ph.D., Dean
Dr. Edward Jadallah joined California State University, Monterey Bay, in July 2021 as the new Dean of the College of Education.
Dr. Jadallah brings to CSUMB a long history as an experienced and accomplished educator, researcher, and administrator.
Previously Dean of the Spadoni College of Education at Coastal Carolina University, Jadallah served in this role since 2011 and served as the Vice President of Online Education and Teaching Excellence from 2013 to 2020. Before joining Coastal Carolina University as a tenured professor of Curriculum and Instruction Design in Fall 2010, he served as chair of the teacher education faculty and as cooperating faculty in the School of Policy and International Affairs at the University of Maine. At UMaine, from 1997 to 2010, Dr. Jadallah founded a PhD. program in curriculum and instruction, collaborated on a grant with Zayed University in the United Arab Emirates, and developed a Global Education Institute and Study Tour for pre-service and in-service teachers.
Jadallah has years of postsecondary teaching and administrative experience, specializing in curriculum design and evaluation, social science education, and global studies. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history and psychology (dual major) from Malone College in Canton, Ohio; a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Bowling Green State University; and a PhD in teacher education and social science education from The Ohio State University in Columbus.
