Sustainable Hospitality Management, B.S.

The B.S. in Sustainable Hospitality Management is designed to prepare students to excel in the dynamic and evolving field of hospitality and tourism, emphasizing sustainability. Providing a solid foundation in business principles, students learn to seamlessly integrate sustainable practices into the industry. The curriculum places a strong emphasis on hands-on learning, ensuring graduates cultivate essential competencies for effective management across diverse hospitality and tourism organizations.

Required Courses


In order to graduate, you will also need to complete your General Education  and university requirements .

Sustainable Hospitality Management majors also complete a minimum of 600 hours of paid or unpaid professional work experience, in addition to an internship requirement prior to their graduation.  Learn more at the Career Gateway

Students will understand the terminology, concepts, theories, tools, and applications of responsible sustainable hospitality and tourism management.

Students will produce business writing that meets professional standards.

Students will deliver professional presentations.

Major Learning Outcome 4

Students will produce a critical and integrative analysis of a business scenario including the development of alternatives and recommendations to solve the problem.

Students will analyze data using quantitative tools to support business analysis.
