If you transferred into CSUMB as an AA-T-certified student in Elementary Education, you must complete the following courses for your bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies at CSUMB. If you are unsure about your transfer status, please talk to a Liberal Studies advisor as soon as possible. You will work with a Liberal Studies advisor to create your Individual Learning Plan (ILP). This ILP maps out how you will achieve each of the major course requirements listed below to earn your degree.

LING 393 - Language, Power, and Literacy in Education Units: 3
LS 390 - Culturally Sustaining Literature for Elementary and Middle Grades Units: 3
MATH 308 - Elementary Mathematics from an Advanced Perspective A Units: 3
MATH 309 - Elementary Math - Adv Viewpt B Units: 3
KIN 373 - Health and Physical Education Units: 2
KIN 373L - Health and Physical Education Lab Units: 1
SBS 386 - Social and Political Histories of California Units: 3
Complete the following Advanced Inquiry in Education course:
LS 380 - Teaching for Social Change Units: 3
Complete one of the following Advanced Inquiry in Education courses:
LS 311 - Educational Issues and the Latino Community Units: 3
LS 363 - Immigrants & Equity Issues in Education Units: 3
Complete one of the following courses:
LS 383 - Innov Approaches to Schooling Units: 3
LS 384 - Issues in Comparative and International Education Units: 3
To satisfy the requirements of the Liberal Studies major, select and complete one minor or one emphasis listed below.

To satisfy the requirements of this degree, students must successfully complete all Undergraduate Requirements . Several of these (UD-B, UD-C, UD-D, American Institutions US1,2,3, GWAR, and Upper Division Service Learning) are embedded in the major curriculum and the transfer model curriculum completed at the CCC.
