The MSCS is scheduled to launch in Fall 2027

The Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) program at CSUMB offers advanced knowledge in computer science principles and practices. Combining rigorous coursework with hands-on learning, the program emphasizes both theoretical foundations and practical applications. Students will explore a broad range of disciplines and emerging technologies through practical projects or a thesis, developing the skills necessary to solve complex, real-world problems. Graduates will be well prepared for advanced careers in industry, with some also pursuing applied research or further academic study.

Please contact the MSCS program staff and faculty at csgrad@csumb.edu or call 831-582-4221 for more information about the program.

Culminating Experience

The MSCS program offers students the choice between completing a thesis or a project.
