WLC 420 - Maximizing Study Abroad Experiences

Your study abroad or study away experience offers a valuable chance to improve your language skills and deepen your understanding of other cultures, people, and practices. This course provides resources to help you prepare for your study abroad experiences and maximize your time abroad. Students will develop foundational knowledge of intercultural competence, language and culture learning strategies, and prepare for logistical and personal well-being during all three phases of study abroad: pre-departure, in-country, and re-entry. Students will develop basic information about their future host culture and consider what it means to be a global citizen. The course is conducted in English and is designed for students studying away from their home campus, including abroad and interstate.
