Biology, AS-T to Biology, B.S.

If you transferred into CSUMB as an AS-T-certified student in Biology, you must complete the following courses for bachelor’s degree in Biology. If you are unsure about your transfer status, please talk to an advisor.

CHEM 211L - Organic Chemistry I Lab Units: 2
STAT 250 - Applied Stat:Sci Tech Units: 4
BIO 301 - Research and Technical Writing in Biology Units: 2
BIO 311 - Genetics Units: 4

Concentrations

Choose one of the following concentrations and complete the coursework.

Molecular Biology Concentration

Ecology, Evolution, and Bio Organismal Biology Concentration

Teacher Preparation Concentration

General Education and University Requirements

To satisfy the requirements of the degree, students must successfully complete all Undergraduate Requirements . Some of these (UD-B, Upper division Service Learning, and GWAR) are embedded in the major curriculum.

Select and complete coursework to meet the following requirements:

Upper division GE C area that double counts with World Culture & Language . Choose from the following:
- JAPN 350 - World Culture and Language: Japanese
- SPAN 350 - World Culture and Language: Spanish
Upper division GE D area
American Institutions

Students may select additional elective coursework if necessary to complete 60 units.
