MSPA 511 - Clinical Medicine I


This is the first of three clinical medicine courses presented during the didactic year. This course includes information on the etiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases and disorders as they relate to each body system and developmental stage. This first course will include infectious disease, immunology, hematology, dermatology, neurology, the musculoskeletal system, and rheumatology. This course will offer a combination of formal lectures, clinical reasoning exercises, and small-group case study discussions to develop problem-solving skills. This course will be taught in coordination with the Advanced Clinical Anatomy & Physiology and Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapeutics series.
