PSY 100 - Introduction to Psychology Psychology is the scientific study of mental processes and behavior. This course spans the breadth of psychology’s sub-disciplines, such as neuroscience, cognitive, developmental, clinical, and social psychology. Topics covered may integrate across sub-disciplines and include: history of the field, learning, perception, personality, intelligence, and emotion. Exploration includes core concepts, research methods, historically significant studies, larger theoretical debates such as, nature versus nurture, and the application of research findings to address contemporary social issues.
